About the role#
Mauldin & Jenkins is seeking an HR Intern to join our team in Birmingham. This is a part-time position with a minimum requirement of 20 hours per week. You will work on projects related to learning and development, culture, talent management, and corporate events.
What you'll do#
- Assist with campus recruiting initiatives and events.
- Support employee relations programs, including DEI, the Women’s Alliance, and wellness initiatives.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions and CPE content.
- Communicate learning and development information to associates.
- Manage inventory and ordering for recruiting and HR giveaways.
- Collaborate with the HR team on social media campaigns.
- Prepare company announcements and correspondence.
- Share information with associates and provide feedback to the HR team.
- Promote the reputation of the firm.
- Maintain high standards for the accuracy and quality of your work.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Visme, and SimpleBooklet.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work independently or in a team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.

- This role is based on-site in Birmingham, Alabama.
- This is a paid internship.
