About the role#
We are looking for a Field Engineer Intern to join our team in Indianapolis for the Summer 2026 season. You will support our Project Managers and Construction Managers on active construction sites. This role is a paid, full-time, on-site position. Please note that this role requires 100% project-specific travel, and you may be expected to work extended hours or weekends as project needs dictate.
What you'll do#
- Perform field survey work to track activities using GPS equipment and PC-based software.
- Help manage quality control records and ensure project reporting is complete.
- Assist with scheduling, planning, and coordinating inspections and audits.
- Handle material inventory and receiving documentation.
- Support the team with RFI submittals and subcontractor management.
- Help prepare as-builts, job binders, and final closeout documentation.
- Take on other duties as assigned by the project team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year undergraduate program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety and Health, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 24 college credits and a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A basic understanding of construction industry practices.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to heat, dirt, and noise.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $21-$23 per hour.
- This is a temporary position without company benefits.
