About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship with the Clean Energy and Infrastructure group at MasTec. You will support project managers and construction managers during the summer of 2026. The role is based on-site in Terre Haute and Clinton, Indiana.
What you'll do#
- Perform field survey work to track activities using GPS equipment and PC software.
- Manage quality control records and ensure project reporting is complete.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and documenting required audits and inspections.
- Handle material inventory and receiving paperwork.
- Help with subcontractor scheduling and management.
- Process RFI submittals.
- Assist with project closeout tasks, including as-builts and job binder creation.
- Take on other duties as assigned.
- Note that extended work hours and weekend work may be required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year undergraduate degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety and Health, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of at least 24 college credits.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A basic understanding of construction industry practices.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
- Availability for 100% project-specific travel.
