About the role#
Martin/Martin, Inc. is hiring a Structural Engineering intern for our San Mateo office during the summer of 2027. This full-time role focuses on new building structural design. You will also gain experience in technical research, building renovations, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
What you'll do#
- Complete simple engineering calculations and models.
- Develop drawings and perform data entry.
- Support internal technical projects.
- Perform research and special studies.
- Prepare presentations.
- Visit project sites.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering, with at least a junior-level program completed.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to commute to our San Mateo office for on-site work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and ask questions.
- Attention to detail and an eagerness to learn.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Structural engineering coursework or specific experience is helpful, as is a completed Bachelor’s degree.
