About the role#
Martin/Martin, Inc. is hiring a seasonal structural engineering intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site at our Kansas City office. This role focuses on new building structural design, though you may also gain experience in technical research, building renovations, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
What you'll do#
- Complete simple engineering calculations and models.
- Prepare presentations and perform research or special studies.
- Support internal technical projects and handle data entry.
- Develop drawings and visit project sites.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
- You have completed at least a junior-level program and hold a high school diploma.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, ask questions, and pay attention to detail.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located in Kansas City, Missouri.
- The role is on-site and requires the ability to work at a desk for long periods, use a computer, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
