About the role#
Marshall Wace is seeking a Technology Intern for our New York office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship designed for penultimate-year students with the potential for conversion into a full-time graduate role in 2028. You will work directly with our development teams on projects supporting Finance, Operations, Risk, Trading, and Portfolio Management, gaining hands-on experience in areas such as software engineering, data engineering, cybersecurity, and web development.
What you'll do#
- Hone your software and programming skills while building an understanding of financial markets and our business.
- Collaborate in pairs on projects proposed by our Technology team and selected by senior managers for their potential business impact.
- Receive comprehensive support, including personalized mentorship, regular seminars with senior staff, and performance reviews.
- Engage in social events and firm-wide charitable activities.
- Present your project outcomes to the Technology team at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated inventive and creative use of technology, whether through academic work, hackathons, or personal projects.
- Exceptional academic achievement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in pairs.
- An interest in pursuing a career in an environment where technology is central to business operations.

- Modality: Fully on-site.
- Compensation: Annual base salary of $150,000 (pro-rated for the internship duration), with potential eligibility for a discretionary bonus and benefits.
