About the role#
This summer internship offers the opportunity to work directly with development teams at Marshall Wace. You will gain hands-on experience across various technical disciplines including software engineering, data engineering, devops, cybersecurity, web development, and business intelligence. Projects support core business areas such as trading, risk, portfolio management, finance, and operations. This role is designed for penultimate year students with an interest in transitioning into a full-time graduate position.
What you'll do#
- Hone software and programming skills while building an understanding of financial markets.
- Collaborate directly with technology teams on projects that provide significant business impact.
- Work in pairs to develop solutions, such as integrating AI tools, building alert tooling, or creating visualization interfaces.
- Participate in an initial induction, receive personalized mentorship, and attend seminars with senior staff.
- Present your completed project to the technology team at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- A background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical fields.
- Demonstrated inventive and creative use of technology through passion projects, hackathons, or previous internships.
- Exceptional academic achievement.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in pairs.
- A proactive approach to taking on responsibility and autonomy.

- Term: Summer 2027 (June 14, 2027 - August 22, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $150,000 annual base salary (pro-rated for the internship period).
