About the role#
The Royal Canin Petcare Engineering Internship is a 10-week summer program based in Greenville, Mississippi. This is a full-time, paid position designed to provide hands-on experience with real business operations. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to improve plant performance, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data on machine and line performance.
- Conduct time and motion studies to find ways to improve worker efficiency.
- Develop equipment layouts, operational designs, and material flows.
- Lead projects aimed at increasing plant efficiency and reducing waste.
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators at the facility and enterprise levels.
- Create action plans based on data to drive performance improvements.
- Apply improvement tools such as SIXSIGMA, Kaizen, and 5S.
- Set performance standards for production lines.
What you'll need#
- You are a 3rd-year student currently enrolled in an Industrial or Mechanical Engineering program.
- You must be available to intern during the summer prior to your final graduation date.
- You are legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- You can arrange your own transportation to and from the work site.
- Employment depends on the successful completion of a drug and background screening.
