Manufacturing Intern

About the role#

This is a 12-week paid internship for Summer 2026, based at the RSCC Wire & Cable LLC facility. You will work 40 hours per week in a hands-on manufacturing environment, gaining practical experience in operational systems, workflow optimization, and equipment operation. This role requires on-site attendance and involves collaboration with Quality, Production Planning, and Engineering departments.

What you'll do#

• Assist in production processes, assembly, and quality checks to ensure efficient and accurate operations.
• Learn about manufacturing processes and gain experience with operational systems.
• Contribute to projects focused on improving production efficiency and quality.
• Develop skills in problem-solving and process monitoring through daily facility operations.

What you'll need#

• Currently entering Sophomore year or higher in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions.
• Basic computer literacy and strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, including adhering to all PPE guidelines.
• Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, or kneeling.
• Successful completion of a drug screening and physical exam is required.

• Location: East Granby, Connecticut (On-site).
• Term: Summer 2026 (12 weeks, May to August).
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Compensation: $21–$23 per hour, based on experience and education.
