About the role#
This is an 8-month full-time co-op position running from January to August 2027. You will support the Global Privacy Office with data governance, regulatory readiness, and privacy risk management. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise data mapping, AI governance, and vendor privacy.
What you'll do#
- Support enterprise data mapping and privacy inventory by gathering information from business teams and systems to create data flow documentation.
- Assist with AI Governance by conducting ethical use reviews, documenting governance decisions, and implementing responsible AI oversight processes.
- Manage vendor privacy and third-party risk by organizing records, tracking privacy assessments and data processing agreements, and maintaining oversight evidence.
- Organize and improve Privacy Office knowledge resources such as templates, playbooks, and SharePoint content.
- Provide general project coordination including meeting preparation, action tracking, document management, and stakeholder follow-up.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college co-op program in privacy, law, business, information management, information systems, cybersecurity, data governance, or public policy.
- Interest in privacy, responsible AI, technology governance, compliance, or risk management.
- Experience conducting research, organizing information, analyzing processes, or preparing written reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with structured data, spreadsheets, inventories, and process documentation.
- A commitment to fairness, accountability, and the responsible handling of personal information.
- Experience with Power BI, Visio, or previous office and project coordination work is considered an asset.
