About the role#
As an Assistant Project Coordinator, you will support Project Managers and Superintendents in the delivery of civil construction projects. This position focuses on maintaining contract documentation, supporting estimating processes, and assisting with the preparation of budgets and schedules. You will gain experience across various contract types, including Design Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain purchase order logs, shop drawing and submittal logs, and plan logs.
- Learn how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations.
- Assist with and clarify the scope of work for sub-trades and suppliers.
- Ensure a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and Corporate Health and Safety Policy.
- Track and maintain an inventory of supplies to ensure they arrive on schedule.
- Attend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficiencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a related post-secondary program, such as Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Alternatively, a recent graduate from a related program who completed studies in 2026.
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Pickering, Ontario (Duffin Creek project).
- Term: Fall 2026 start, with an 8 or 12-month term preferred.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position ($21 - $26 per hour depending on experience).
- Requirement: A vehicle is required to visit project sites, as locations are not easily accessible by public transit.
