About the role#
This Taxation Analyst co-op position is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Canadian Tax team. You will support year-end tax reporting and compliance activities while developing your technical and professional skills. This role is based in Waterloo and is intended for students who are detail-oriented and interested in corporate tax.
What you'll do#
- Support the Canadian Tax team during the year-end reporting and compliance season.
- Prepare, organize, and review data required for tax-related deliverables.
- Perform data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather information and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the timely completion of deliverables.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting and processes through data and technology.
What you'll need#
- Previous co-op or internship experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated curiosity, learning agility, and a willingness to develop knowledge within a Canadian tax environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Compensation: Paid position with a salary range of $40,950 to $56,550 CAD, pro-rated based on the length of the work term.
