About the role#
MannKind Corporation is hiring an Analytical Development Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bedford, Massachusetts. You will work within the Analytical Development department to support R&D testing for respiratory drug products.
What you'll do#
- Support R&D testing of inhaled dosage forms, including aerodynamic Particle Size Distribution (APSD) using cascade and fast screening impactors.
- Assist with UPLC setup and prepare standards and solutions for analysis.
- Document, compile, review, and present data.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks, written procedures, and general documentation.
- Handle hazardous materials and chemicals while following safety guidelines and good laboratory practices.
- Assist with general laboratory activities as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or biomedical engineering, ideally within 1-2 years of graduation.
- Strong general laboratory abilities and experience with general lab procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Ability to solve problems, analyze data, and communicate clearly in oral and written formats.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Initiative to identify process improvements and openness to constructive feedback.
- Prior experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotech is a plus.

- Location: Bedford, MA.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to June 25, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
