Student Leadership Coordinator

About the role#

The Student Leadership Coordinator oversees the leadership development program at the Clearfield Job Corps Center. This role involves guiding students in self-government, managing the student leadership council, and coordinating related operations like the student welfare fund and concessions. You will provide instruction, facilitate meetings, and chaperone student functions to foster a positive environment for student growth.

What you'll do#

• Develop and deliver leadership instruction and curriculum.
• Provide coordination and oversight for all student leadership positions and staff representatives.
• Supervise the student leadership council, including scheduling meetings and maintaining communication with center administration.
• Manage the concessions operation and administer the student welfare fund.
• Chaperone various student leadership functions and events.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience (directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Demonstrated experience working with youth.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Ability to obtain a valid Utah Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days of employment and maintain an acceptable driving record.

• Location: Clearfield, UT.
• Schedule: Mid-day shifts with some weekend requirements.
• Employment type: Full-time.
• Compensation: $19.50 per hour.
