About the role#
This internship involves completing a variety of maintenance tasks to keep assigned areas clean and orderly. You will work in compliance with government and management directives to ensure the center remains in good condition.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and preserve all flooring and floor coverings by scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and sweeping.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and associated fixtures.
- Wash walls, windows, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Dust desks, bookshelves, cabinets, and other office furniture.
- Collect and dispose of trash, litter, and debris from grounds, streets, and parking lots.
- Sweep and clean exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks.
- Use basic cleaning compounds, waxes, and disinfectants provided by supervision.
- Maintain the overall appearance of the center and preserve improved grounds.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Job Corps student.
- Must be reliable.
- Willingness to work evenings.
- Willingness to work some weekends.
