Student Intern, Maintenance

About the role#

The Student Intern for Maintenance reports to the facility maintenance manager and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of assigned areas in compliance with government and management directives. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.

What you'll do#

• Clean floors, bathrooms, and other assigned building areas.
• Wash walls, windows, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Dust desks, bookshelves, cabinets, and office furniture.
• Collect and dispose of trash, litter, and debris from grounds, streets, and parking lots.
• Sweep and clean exterior steps, entrances, landings, and sidewalks.
• Use cleaning compounds, waxes, and disinfectants as directed by supervision.
• Maintain a reliable schedule, including availability for evenings and some weekends.

What you'll need#

• Must be a current Job Corps student.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a completer and ready for work-based learning.
• Must possess a valid student card.

• Location: Charleston, West Virginia.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $17.20 per hour.
