Design Intern

About the role#

Magnet Media is seeking a Design Intern to support the design and execution of campaigns across social media, newsletters, blog posts, and other key brand touchpoints. You will work directly with the Head of Design, VP of Marketing, and Content Lead to create podcast visuals, social content, and sales materials. This role offers hands-on experience in bringing strategic storytelling to life within the tech and financial services sectors.

What you'll do#

• Compose engaging digital assets for all social channels in accordance with company style guides.
• Assist with design needs for weekly newsletters, blog posts, and site downloads.
• Support social media planning and posting in coordination with the Content Lead.
• Stay informed on industry trends and the competitive tech and financial services marketplace.
• Assist the Content Lead with the archival and organization of historical content, including white papers, case studies, and tip sheets.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as marketing, communications, design, or media studies.
• Basic graphic design skills and proficiency with photo and video editing tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
• Foundational understanding of social media platforms and best practices, specifically LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools, such as Hubspot or Google Analytics, is considered a plus.

Location & details#

• Location: New York, New York (On-site).
• Term: Winter 2027 (January 11, 2027 – May 14, 2027).
• Commitment: 3 days per week.
• Requirements: Must be eligible to receive college credit and available to work in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
• Status: Paid, full-time internship.
