About the role#
As a Student Systems Administrator at Magna Exteriors, you will support the IT operations at our Mytox facility. This role involves hands-on hardware maintenance, user support, and project assistance within an automotive manufacturing environment. You will work directly with our systems team to ensure that technology infrastructure runs reliably.
What you'll do#
- Set up and maintain hardware, including computers, scanners, printers, copiers, and mobile devices.
- Provide technical support to users for business applications and hardware issues.
- Monitor security compliance across computers and mobile devices.
- Assist with functional and integration testing for IT projects and Go Live preparation.
- Document and maintain records such as phone lists and IP address logs.
- Provide backup support to Systems Administrators for production issues.
- Offer on-call and on-site technical support for Mytox personnel outside of regular business hours when necessary.
- Follow Mytox safety rules and system procedures as outlined in the BOS manual.
- Maintain a clean, organized IT workspace.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of a post-secondary degree or diploma in IT or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with Office 365, business applications, and network switches.
- Experience or interest in SQL, Power Apps, Power BI, and scripting.
- A genuine interest in technology, hardware, and software.
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid position located in Vaughan, Ontario.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a rolling term position.
