About the role#
We are looking for a Field Quality Engineering Intern to join our team in Longueuil. Our Field Quality team manages the performance of our bikes, e-bikes, batteries, and stations after they leave the factory. You will work alongside quality engineers to detect hardware issues, investigate root causes, and support corrective measures with our engineering and operations teams. This role involves both laboratory work and data analysis to evaluate real-world performance.
What you'll do#
- Support failure analysis on returned parts, including disassembly, inspection, electrical testing, and documentation.
- Monitor field data, vehicle and station alerts, and repair histories to identify emerging issues.
- Design and update dashboards and queries to track reliability metrics and upgrade progress.
- Assist with field upgrade campaigns by identifying affected units and tracking completion.
- Review repair procedures and diagnostic guides to propose improvements.
- Contribute to field failure investigations in Jira to determine root causes and corrective actions.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master program for mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering at a Canadian university.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and summer 2028.
- Professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to handle electromechanical hardware, including disassembly and basic electrical troubleshooting with a multimeter.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Knowledge of structured problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams, 8D, or FMEA.
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
- Previous internship experience in quality, reliability, testing, or failure analysis is an asset.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or data tools like Mode, Hex, Tableau, or Power BI is an asset.
- Experience with Jira, e-bikes, batteries, automotive systems, or reading wiring diagrams is an asset.

- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: 34 to 36 CAD per hour.
