About the role#
We are looking for a technical student to join our Corporate FinTech team as a Business Systems Engineer Intern. You will support our FinTech applications and modernize business operations through automation, integration, and AI. You will work with partners across finance, systems, and engineering to streamline processes and build scalable solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support FinTech applications and processes for Procurement, Supply Chain, and FP&A.
- Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using Workato and Python.
- Identify manual, repetitive processes and translate them into automated solutions.
- Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data.
- Support data validation and reconciliation processes.
- Explore and prototype AI-powered solutions using tools like LangChain and Workato AI.
- Configure and maintain Jira automation rules.
- Assist in building reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Participate in testing new automations, integrations, and system updates.
- Gather business requirements and provide first-level end-user support.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, process mapping, and training.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field at a university in Canada.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
- For Master's students, less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Available for the full Summer 2027 term.
- Working knowledge of Python and proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with or interest in integration platforms like Workato.
- Proficiency with AI frameworks and automation tools.
- Basic understanding of financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the office (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
