About the role#
Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Huntsville, Alabama, to support the full software engineering lifecycle. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Follow the program Software Development Plan to support software engineering tasks.
- Perform requirements analysis and object oriented analysis and design.
- Write code and conduct unit testing.
- Assist with integration, formal testing, and delivery.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Knowledge of Agile development and embedded software or hardware is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
