About the role#
Lockheed Martin is hiring a Design Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work within the Rotary and Mission Systems division in Stratford, Connecticut. This is a full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Participate in airframe design activities, including 3D part design.
- Perform concept development, preliminary design, and detail design.
- Work within an Integrated Product Team to coordinate with various engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
- Solve engineering problems related to manufacturing issues.
- Prepare technical reports and proposals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Basic knowledge of 3D or 2D CAD software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- US citizenship.
- Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage complex tasks and meet objectives.

- Compensation: $22.66 to $31.67 per hour.
