About the role#
Little League International is seeking a summer intern to support our merchandising department at our headquarters in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This role provides hands-on experience in retail buying, planning, and inventory management leading up to the Little League World Series. You will work with our team to maximize sales and ensure a quality experience for fans and customers.
What you'll do#
- Aid in retail buying, product displays, and inventory control.
- Develop allocation plans to support departmental goals.
- Assist with point-of-sale and e-commerce product preparation.
- Learn the ordering timeline and open-to-buy process.
- Research merchandising trends and recommend product placement.
- Develop and implement floor plans for retail locations.
- Recommend products to feature in advertising.
- Use MS Office and inventory management software.
- Contribute to design work while following brand guidelines.
- Support retail staff with customer service, stock work, and store maintenance.
- Create reference packets of merchandise.
- Serve as a staff lead during the World Series.
What you'll need#
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, or a related field.
- Previous retail experience and a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
- Ability to use point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, or sit for long periods.
- Experience with Adobe platforms or Photoshop is preferred.

- Location: South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $18 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
