About the role#
Little League International is hiring Sports Turf Interns for the Summer 2027 season. This full-time, paid position runs from May 3 through August 29. You will report to the Turf and Groundskeeper and gain hands-on experience maintaining the 72-acre complex, which includes five baseball fields with Kentucky Bluegrass surfaces. Free on-site housing is available with a signed agreement.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily field preparations, including mowing, edging, dragging, lining, and clay work.
- Assist with sod work, warning track maintenance, and seasonal aeration.
- Repair mound, plate, and bullpen clay, as well as infield skin surfaces.
- Support fertilization, irrigation maintenance, and the pesticide program.
- Handle tarp pulls and perform preventative maintenance on grounds equipment.
- Attend meetings regarding field use and game day logistics for the World Series and other events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Agronomy, Turf Grass Management, or a related field.
- A valid driver's license.
- General knowledge of operating and maintaining grounds keeping equipment.
- Understanding of baseball field dimensions and layout.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform frequent bending and stooping.
- Capacity to work in all weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must pass a PA Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Criminal History check with fingerprints.

- Compensation: $18 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
