About the role#
Students in this position assist in the daily operations of athletic events at Lipscomb Academy. This role supports the game day manager by ensuring sporting events run smoothly from setup to breakdown.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event setup before games and breakdown after games conclude.
- Serve as ball handlers for soccer and volleyball matches.
- Manage ticket sales and ushering for attendees.
- Operate concession stands.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the game day manager.
- Work shifts that begin one hour before game time and end 30 minutes after the conclusion of the event.
What you'll need#
- Strong sense of timeliness, as event operations rely on all positions being filled by the start of the game.
- Awareness of weather conditions, as outdoor games proceed regardless of rain or shine.
- Eligibility for Federal Work Study is preferred but not required.
- Enrollment in majors such as Kinesiology, Real Estate, Psychology, Business Administration, or Communications.
