About the role#
Lincoln International is seeking Summer Analyst Interns for the Valuations & Opinions Group. This role offers exposure to a broad range of asset classes and industries. You will work within a supportive, team-oriented environment to build your analytical skills and financial acumen. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the Portfolio Valuation, Asset-backed Finance, or Transaction Opinion & Board Advisory teams.
- Construct and practice valuation and financial analyses, including discounted cash flow, guideline public companies, and guideline precedent transactions.
- Identify relevant comparable public companies and M&A transactions.
- Research economic conditions, industry trends, acquisitions, divestitures, and investment attributes of securities.
- Participate in and shadow due diligence meetings and client communications.
- Respond to auditor questions regarding valuation analyses.
- Assist in preparing fee proposals and maintain proprietary valuation databases.
- Coordinate recurring projects with team members and support senior group members.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with significant completed coursework.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5.
- Strong analytical foundation with a solid understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while remaining detail-oriented.
- Assertive and self-motivated work ethic.
Location & details#
- Locations: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17, 2027, through July 23, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid. Employees work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.
