About the role#
Lincoln International is seeking Summer Associates for our M&A practice for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, paid internship provides exposure to international clients and buyers while working closely with senior bankers and client executives. Associates are involved in every aspect of M&A transactions, gaining experience in deal execution from start to finish.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial analysis and valuations.
- Conduct industry research.
- Identify and contact potential buyers or acquisition targets.
- Prepare confidential information memoranda and management presentations.
- Support senior bankers in negotiations.
- Assist during the due diligence and closing process.
- Prepare materials for and participate in new business meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a top-tier MBA program with an expected graduation date in 2028.
- Outstanding academic record.
- Fluency in accounting and finance with strong business acumen.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Assertive and self-motivated work ethic.
- Majors considered include Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Political Science.
- Previous experience in M&A, capital raising, or investment banking is preferred but not required.

- Locations: Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA.
- Work Modality: Hybrid. Employees work in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.
