About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Light & Wonder, you will join a global engineering team. You will support the technology behind our internal systems and customer products. This role focuses on maintaining the automation and tools used to configure, build, package, deploy, and test software. You will gain experience with the software supply chain in a production environment.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and improve build, packaging, deployment, and test automation.
- Complete small development and scripting tasks to improve tool reliability.
- Troubleshoot issues with internal systems and tools.
- Support daily technical services and operational tasks.
- Work with engineers to understand requirements, architecture, and development tools.
- Research new technologies and document your work for the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Genuine interest in DevOps and the software supply chain.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well on a team and manage your time effectively.
- Detail oriented and capable of working under supervision.
- Some experience in a software development environment is preferred.
- Exposure to virtual environments, Jenkins, Packer, Docker, or Chocolatey is a plus.
- Development abilities in languages such as C#, C++, VBScript, JavaScript, ASP.Net, HTML, Perl, awk, Python, Lua, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with MS SQL Server and version control systems like GitHub or Perforce.

- Location: Las Vegas, Nevada.
- Modality: On-site (5 days per week).
- Employment: Part-time, rolling term.
