About the role#
As a Summer Student with the Legal & Compliance team, you will assist with daily tasks and projects. This role offers an opportunity to learn from professionals in the legal and compliance field within the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Conduct legal research and draft legal memorandums on various areas of law.
- Support ongoing projects aimed at improving efficiency.
- Prepare internal communications and reports.
- Assist with the development and facilitation of basic legal training programs for business units.
- Provide general support to the Legal & Compliance team.
What you'll need#
- You are a current student who has completed at least a first year in an accredited J.D. or LL.B. program.
- Demonstrated interest in insurance or commercial business law.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate work habits.
- Sound judgement, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.

- Pay Rate: CAD $24 per hour.
