About the role#
This co-op position offers the chance to learn and contribute to the manufacturing process of polyurethane sealants and coatings. You will spend much of your time in the lab and on the plant floor. The role focuses on safety, product quality testing, process validation, and improvement. You will gain insight into how the manufacturing process interacts with various support teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine tests to ensure products meet specifications and approve them for shipping and filling.
- Manage retain room filing and disposal.
- Maintain 5S standards in the QC lab and the retain room.
- Participate in quality projects, including root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Lead small quality improvement projects through testing, data collection, and analysis.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Current standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
