About the role#
This co-op position offers the chance to contribute to the manufacturing process for polyurethane sealants and coatings. You will gain experience in how manufacturing operations connect with supporting teams. This is a full-time, paid role based in Cleveland, Ohio, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
Your daily routine involves interacting with the plant and working with the process and quality engineering group. You will use tools like Process Safety Management, 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, and Value Stream Mapping. Specific tasks include:
- Supporting safety, quality, maintenance, and production processes.
- Leading small projects to improve equipment or processes.
- Collecting data to help reduce process waste.
- Creating or editing P&IDs.
- Assisting Process Engineers with Capital Expense Projects.
- Leading meetings to collaborate on projects or share information.
- Acting as a backup for Quality Lab Safety.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma.
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
- Pursuit of a bachelor degree in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical focus.
