About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join the Functional, Flow Cytometry and BioAnalytics team in Somerset, New Jersey. You will work within our Technical Development organization to support the creation of new flow cytometry methods that assess cellular metabolism in immune and engineered cell products. This is a mentored position where you will collaborate with senior scientists on experimental design and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Establish assays to characterize the metabolic states of T cells transduced with LB2501 LVV.
- Design experiments, optimize staining panels, and analyze multiparametric flow cytometry data.
- Collaborate with scientists to identify and resolve issues in the electronic sample ascension process.
- Draft procedures to organize sample data and test reporting.
- Observe and assist with routine testing of non-critical samples.
- Perform laboratory upkeep, including equipment calibration and cleaning.
- Assist in creating Electronic Laboratory Notebook entries and LIMS sample templates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or master’s student in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and fluorescence-based assays.
- Proficiency with data analysis software, basic statistics, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with tools such as GraphPad Prism, PowerBI, JMP, or R.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and scientific curiosity.
- Effective communication skills with strong written and verbal English.
