About the role#
Layup Parts is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the hardware division. This role focuses on building out an automated factory, providing hands-on experience with industrial equipment, robotics, and complex control systems. This is a full-time, paid internship with rolling start dates available year-round.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and build-out of an automated factory.
- Gain experience in electrical systems engineering, control design, and robotics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software and mechanical design teams to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Work on factory machinery, including the design, retrofitting, and commissioning of automated systems.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to navigate complex systems quickly.
- Preferred: Experience with electrical systems design and robotic systems.
- Preferred: A solid understanding of the mechanical and manufacturing landscape.
