About the role#
Larry H. Miller Construction is hiring for a Project Coordinator Intern for Summer 2027. You will support project managers to ensure construction projects run from start to completion. This role provides hands-on experience and training for students interested in a career in construction management. This is a part-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, and conference calls with stakeholders.
- Track project progress and update schedules.
- Act as a liaison between project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Obtain quotes, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, including scheduling, payments, and performance evaluations.
- Manage the delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
- Help conduct site inspections and audits while maintaining records for safety meetings and incident reports.
- Manage project correspondence and provide administrative support.
- Document site progress through photos and file management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program, preferably in construction management, engineering, or business administration.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, building codes, and safety standards.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and navigate construction sites, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Location & details#
- Location: Sandy, Utah, with travel to active job sites in South Jordan and Salt Lake City.
- Term: May 10, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- Schedule: Part-time, 25 to 29 hours per week.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
