About the role#
Langan is seeking a Site/Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op to join our team in San Francisco for the Summer 2027 term. You will support site feasibility studies and land development projects by preparing technical reports, performing calculations, and documenting pre-construction conditions. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, design plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Analyze soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical data to determine project feasibility.
- Support zoning, ordinance, and permit assessments.
- Assist with sidewalk cost estimations.
- Provide field inspection services as needed.
- Apply engineering principles and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to complete assignments.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Compensation: The pay range is $25 to $32 per hour.
