About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Microbiology Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, paid internship located in Dublin, Ohio. You will work on-site from Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.
What you'll do#
- Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
- Assist with non-testing tasks, including specimen organization, inventory management, and workspace preparation.
- Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
- Support approved laboratory projects.
- Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- Strong interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
- Eagerness to learn new scientific concepts and laboratory skills.
- Professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
Location & details#
- Location: Dublin, Ohio.
- Term: 11 weeks, from June 1st to August 13th, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Work Modality: On-site.
