About the role#
As a Quality Systems Co-op, you will work under general direction to oversee the administration and reporting of quality systems. This position involves supporting the planning, execution, and documentation of internal and external audits. You will help maintain quality deliverables, manage the corrective action board, and support business intelligence initiatives for the quality department. This is a full-time, paid, on-site co-op term based in Waterdown, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Oversee the administration and reporting of quality systems.
- Support the scheduling and execution of internal and external audits.
- Manage mandatory quality deliverables, including operating review slides.
- Monitor the corrective action board to ensure actions align with closure requirements.
- Develop and support Power BI and Power Apps for the quality function.
- Analyze data and ensure the management review process follows the required cadence.
- Interpret, recommend, and implement improvements to quality processes.
- Use quality tools and risk-based thinking to improve accuracy and remove process ambiguity.
- Support ad-hoc maintenance of BPMS documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university degree program for Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Ability to complete a 16-month co-op term starting in May 2026.
- Current enrollment and good standing in an accredited university co-op program.
- Ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and taking ownership of work.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality inspection methods, and configuration management.
- Preferred: 1-2 years of quality assurance experience in aerospace or defense, AS9100D training, Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt, and experience with Microsoft PowerApps and Power BI.
