About the role#
This is a 16 month co-op position reporting to the Logistics Manager. You will gain hands-on experience in logistics and inventory management while partnering with internal teams and external partners to solve operational issues.
What you'll do#
- Focus on process optimization projects regarding reliability, process control, and quality improvement.
- Manage inventory through control, counts, and audits.
- Learn and use material movement management techniques.
- Communicate export shipment status across the organization.
- Create processes and help build a centralized data management platform.
- Partner with internal departments, carriers, and freight forwarders.
- Use data management tools to solve daily logistics challenges.
- Work with the Logistics Manager to set performance metrics.
- Attend and lead daily GEMBA departmental meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 3 or 4 year university degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or an equivalent field.
- Current enrollment and good standing in a university co-op program.
- Ability to complete a 16 month term starting May 2026.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Project, and Word.
- Strong planning, organizational, and data presentation skills.
- Ability to research and develop statistical models, predictive analysis, and data visualization.
- Experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL and data warehouse methodologies is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program clearance.
