About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software for target applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software. This role involves supporting the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.
What you'll do#
- Design and test embedded software for the real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair software defects.
- Work with various languages and platforms, including Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or Embedded Systems.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Clifton, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- The schedule is 9/80, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- This is a paid position.
