About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Salt Lake City. You will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and evaluate hardware-to-software interfaces.
- Define operational performance requirements and system designs.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Write software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to conduct experiments and analyze operating data.
- Join peer reviews to track and fix software defects.
- Work with languages like C++, C, Java, Python, and SQL across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Relevant majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.
