About the role#
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for military and commercial aircraft and ground stations. You will work on a variety of tasks across multiple aircraft platforms. This role follows a 9/80 schedule, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools.
- Research and prepare engineering drawings.
- Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to meet requirements.
- Develop avionics systems, RF, LAN, data processing, and power distribution systems.
- Perform electrical loads analysis and develop load shedding schemes.
- Support the testing and integration of systems directly on the aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field at an accredited university.
- Familiarity with CAD and PLM software, specifically NX and Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of Siemens Capital software.

- This position is located in Clifton, New Jersey.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- Compensation ranges from $25.50 to $48.00 per hour based on experience and location.
- Internship terms are rolling.
