About the role#
L+M Development Partners is hiring Construction Interns to assist with field duties for residential building construction and rehabilitation projects. This is a paid, full-time internship program. Over the course of ten weeks, you will gain industry exposure, tour multiple jobsites, and present lessons learned to senior management.
What you'll do#
- Support the onsite project team with daily operations.
- Verify and track field work progress.
- Prepare material take-offs for purchasing.
- Log contract documents, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Help prepare bid packages, work scopes, and bid lists.
- Manage punchlist items and assist with project closeout activities.
- Use software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture. Rising seniors are preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with construction terminology and the ability to read drawings and specifications is helpful.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role with positions available in Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, New Rochelle, and Newark.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
