About the role#
KWS Group is seeking a Business Development Intern to support operations in the farming industry. This full-time, paid position focuses on assisting with the development and evaluation of systems used to measure sugar beet quality. You will work on-site in Moorhead, Minnesota, during the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support business development activities by assisting with trials and studies.
- Collect, process, and evaluate samples from research and development projects.
- Assist in conducting trials for calibration development using machine vision and NIRS technology.
- Maintain, repair, and test equipment used for sampling and measurement.
- Fabricate, test, and update equipment prototypes.
- Organize, catalog, and manage project schedules to meet deadlines and cost estimates.
- Support current and new customers while ensuring adherence to safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Logistics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong organizational, planning, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate automated equipment and hand tools.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in warehouse, factory, or outdoor environments, including exposure to various weather conditions and loud, dusty, or damp settings.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, and climbing.
