About the role#
This 12-month Sea Logistics Pricing Internship is designed for recent graduates who want hands-on experience in international freight forwarding, commercial pricing, and supply chain operations. You will join the Freight Forwarding team to support global customer solutions and learn how pricing influences international transportation. This is a full-time position based in Jersey City.
What you'll do#
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of sea logistics pricing and freight forwarding operations.
- Prepare and support customer quotations while ensuring pricing accuracy.
- Develop expertise in freight rates, surcharges, Incoterms, and key cost components.
- Use internal pricing systems and tools to manage and analyze rate information.
- Assist with pricing analysis, cost evaluations, and market reviews to support commercial decision-making.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Care, and Pricing teams to support business opportunities.
- Review pricing data to identify discrepancies and resolve rate-related challenges.
- Gradually take ownership of defined pricing responsibilities.
What you'll need#
- A recent bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn complex pricing concepts.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Curiosity, initiative, and an interest in building a career in global logistics.
