About the role#
This 12-week internship provides an immersive experience within our supply chain operations. You will work on projects that support our core business functions, gaining exposure to senior leadership and professional development opportunities. The program runs from January 11, 2027, to April 23, 2027. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Hutchinson, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple supply chain projects while meeting established timelines.
- Conduct supply chain analysis and document current processes or best practices.
- Assist in creating process improvement projects and recommend new opportunities.
- Partner with teams to elicit, analyze, and deliver supply chain solutions.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Communicate project status and potential risks to relevant team members.
- Complete a cumulative project summarizing your accomplishments.
- Present your final project to managers or the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- A major in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Transportation, Retail Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or Operations Management.
- Work authorization that does not require sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities across school and work.
- A proactive approach to taking initiative and responding to change.
