About the role#
The Packaging R&D Co-op is an immersive, roughly 6-month program designed for undergraduate students. You will join a cohort to work on projects across various commercialization stages, including innovation, sustainability, and quality improvement. This is a full-time, paid position where you will contribute to real business results and present your findings to the North American R&D Leadership Team at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Complete projects across different commercialization stages, such as initiation, development, and launch.
- Develop and execute testing procedures to evaluate product and package performance.
- Form recommendations by analyzing data and reporting results to cross-functional teams.
- Pursue technical and business knowledge to understand the impact of your projects.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities and supplier locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Standing as a Junior or Senior during the program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A highly motivated mindset with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments.
Location & details#
- Locations: Glenview, Illinois or Warrendale, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $24,000.
- Housing: Subsidized furnished housing is provided for the duration of the program.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
