About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical knowledge in industrial manufacturing while building professional relationships. You will work under the direction of the supervisor to support day-to-day drafting and design activities. This role requires 10 to 15 percent travel and is available on-site, hybrid, or remote.
What you'll do#
- Prepare plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software.
- Translate rough sketches and specifications from engineers into formal drawings.
- Create drawing specifications for estimating, construction, and external communication.
- Produce accurate project drawings and written communications on a timely basis.
- Assemble and submit drawing packets to the appropriate departments.
- Communicate product specifications to other internal teams.
- Maintain and file job information according to company policy.
- Assist with special projects and day-to-day drafting tasks.
- Follow safety procedures and keep your work area clean and organized.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university degree program for drafting, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
Location & details#
- Location: Willmar, Minnesota.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Pay: 22.00 to 26.00 dollars per hour.
