About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in industrial automation. You will work within the automation department to support manufacturing projects, build professional relationships, and gain insight into production processes. This is a full-time, on-site, rolling position.
What you'll do#
- Advise on sales orders and quotes by interacting with customers and vendors.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, including reviewing PID drawings to identify control needs.
- Research and order panel components, and build panels to meet drawing specifications.
- Produce pin charts and document code structure.
- Program networks that support IO in panels and set up recipe screens.
- Verify field instruments, VFD, PLC IO, and HMI clients.
- Assist in training operators and answer questions during commissioning.
- Develop, test, and maintain internal software code.
- Follow safety standards and keep your work area clean.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university for an automation-related curriculum, such as Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge of power tools.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
