About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Denver, Colorado. You will work on-site, gaining experience in a consulting environment while supporting mining and infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists on projects across North America and internationally.
What you'll do#
- Design major earthwork projects including tailings dams, heap leach facilities, and ancillary works.
- Prepare civil layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Produce design reports and assist with project proposals.
- Participate in field investigations and construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) tasks.
- Contribute to geotechnical analyses and engineering evaluations.
- Support permitting, reclamation, and closure activities.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field. Students entering their junior year, senior year, or graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
- You have a strong interest in developing technical skills, learning civil engineering fundamentals, and understanding construction practices.
- You can communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team.
- You have strong time management skills and can organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- You are comfortable with MS Office. Experience with Civil 3D is preferred.
- You are willing to travel to project and field locations as needed.

- This role is located in Denver, CO.
- This is an on-site, full-time position for Summer 2027.
- The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience and education.
