About the role#
As a Product Development Engineer Intern, you will work within the Film and Scatterometry Technology division. You will contribute to the development, release, and support of KLA Film metrology products. This role focuses on applying your technical expertise to understand customer applications and create solutions for complex industrial challenges.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and support of metrology products.
- Collect and filter observations to define technical problem statements.
- Create data collection plans, analyze results, and determine corrective actions.
- Communicate project progress through after-action reports, meeting minutes, and summaries.
- Collaborate with internal functional teams to provide technical guidance and solve problems.
What you'll need#
- You must be a PhD candidate with a background in Experimental Physics or Engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, or optical engineering.
- An understanding of the interactions between optical, electrical, mechanical, and software systems in complex industrial equipment is required.
- Strong communication skills are essential for documenting technical work and presenting findings to management.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- Positions are located on-site in Milpitas, California, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
- This role is offered on a rolling basis.
