About the role#
As an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Intern, you will work with the Business Development team to identify, pitch, and convert prospects into Kiva partners. These partners, including nonprofit lenders and local governments, act as the faces of Kiva US. You will assist in prospecting, outreach, and onboarding while conducting research to help us understand the successes and pain points of our partnerships. This role is suited for those interested in sales, research, or relationship management within a nonprofit setting.
What you'll do#
- Research and organize data for potential partners and their networks.
- Identify prospective foundations and corporate partners or donors.
- Analyze performance data from existing Hubs to develop case studies.
- Manage incoming inquiries from new and existing partners.
- Conduct cold outreach to prospective partners.
- Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders after conversations begin.
- Monitor partner participation and engagement in monthly meetings.
- Create and refine pitch decks, presentations, and supporting documents.
- Produce visual charts and graphs for CAM and Trustee Surveys.
- Develop marketing materials and collateral to support partners.
- Assist with script writing for borrower support videos and relay programmatic updates.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 21 years of age by January 13, 2026.
- Ability to commit to the full 6-month term.
- Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a sense of ownership.
- Interest in problem-solving and relationship building.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive nature with the ability to work independently.
- Highly organized with an aptitude for a start-up environment.
- Intermediate skills in Google Docs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or Communications.
Location & details#
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 12, 2027, to June 30, 2027).
- Work Modality: Remote.
- Commitment: 24 to 32 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with a monthly stipend of $800 before taxes.
